MY BEST FRIEND, MY TELESCOPE !!!

Those twinkling stars and that mesmerizing night sky never fail to leave me in awe and make me wonder what lies beyond our sight and our safe haven,Earth.No one knows what secrets lay hidden among the billions of stars floating in the universe.

But for that , I am glad that I have the best thing that helps me explore the secrets of space, my TELESCOPE . You will definitely find it weird but I have even named my telescope , as STAR VISION. Although I don't get a that good view as compared to a  less-polluted area but whenever I look at the sky through my telescope , I am lost in the beauty of the universe. I am of the opinion that the universe is always trying to communicate with us,through eclipses,shooting stars,comets and asteroids,making us realize that there is a lot to be adored outside phones.My telescope is definitely one of the few things that I would not allow to gather dust till I am alive . And it is so precious to me that it has found a place on my study table as well.

Here are some interesting facts about telescopes-

• Hans Lippershey is credited with the invention of the telescope .
• A term used when discussing telescopes is First Light,this is the phrase used to describe the first moment a telescope sees the sky.
• The Gran Telescopio Canarias is by far the largest telescope on earth and measures 34 feet (or 409 inches) across! Its home is in the Canary Islands of Spain. The design and development of this telescope took more than 1,000 people from over 100 companies more than a decade to complete.
• China is the first country to have a robotic telescope on moon.Since 2013,the telescope is working and experts mentioned that it could work for up to 30 years. 
• The Hubble Telescope finishes one revolution around the Earth in just 97 minutes!!

So, definitely telescopes are one of the greatest inventions of mankind which have helped explore the depth of universe since decades . To be precise , I got my telescope as a part of the astronomy club I opted for in class 5th.And till date my telescope,Star Vision is my best friend !!!!
